For Atlanta’s Barcelona Wine Bar and Restaurant in Inman Park, we worked closely with the owners and local craftspeople to design a lively, warm environment that complements their robust Spanish tapas menu and extensive wine selection. We used enduring materials like walnut and steel to form custom seating, lighting, and storefronts, white marble and natural leather for bars, and reclaimed wood, terracotta flues, handmade tile and burlap for textural walls. These elements come together to create a gathering place that feels like it’s always been a part of the neighborhood.

This residential interiors project was for a busy family that included two teenagers, three dogs, and two cats who had recently relocated to Atlanta from Montreal. Durability and comfort were a priority as was reviving the overall feel of this 1920’s Morningside bungalow. We starting by incorporating a few of our client’s favorite colors from their Canadian home like deep green and ochre yellow. We mixed their antiques with new upholstered pieces, lighting and accessories to create a colorful family home that favors all of its inhabitants.

We worked with Chick-fil-A to create the interior of their new downtown Chicago location. Our design incorporates classic hardworking kitchen finishes mixed with handcrafted pieces, authentic textures and pops of red. For example, a custom light fixture made from recycled coke bottles illuminates the dining area. A focal wall features their logo that was locally crafted from laser cut steel and set within reclaimed white oak boards that are full of character.

The German American Chamber of Commerce’s new offices in Atlanta were designed to accommodate their program in a smaller space than originally planned, but did so without compromising the qualities of natural light and history that had attracted them to White Provision. Our design maintains fantastic views of Atlanta’s skyline by locating private offices along the interior and opening up the perimeter for studio space. This decision takes advantage of available natural light reducing the amount of artificial lighting. German products are featured throughout – cabinetry by Poggenpohl and hardware by Bayerle and Dorma.

Our goal for the new West Egg Café was to maintain the authentic industrial feel of their old space while capitalizing on the benefits of the new space by allowing for more daylight and an expanded dining room, lunch counter, coffee bar and kitchen. Along with their new location, West Egg was planning to open for dinner and offer beer, wine and cocktails. So we designed the space so that it continues to flourish as a favorite breakfast and lunch spot and then transform into a relaxed dinner destination.

For the locally sourced, meat centric restaurant, Abattoir, we led the project team in transforming a former slaughterhouse into an innovative and comfortable dining experience. Our design work involved carefully integrating new programmatic functions with a simple modern aesthetic into the industrial grit of the existing space. We introduced new walls of reclaimed pine, custom lighting and furniture, combining them with the existing brick, steel and concrete. The outdoor terrace is anchored by a raw concrete fireplace flanked with custom steel racks for wood storage recalling the building’s industrial past while enhancing its elegant present.

This simple layout takes advantage of the natural light filtering in from windows along two walls. White perforated panels diffuse the light and provide privacy. Design decisions stemmed from our client’s desire for a serene environment and a memorable entry. We worked with a local ironsmith to design a dragonfly relief for the reception desk, artistically reinforcing the salon’s identity. By painting textured concrete our client’s favorite shade of orange and framing it in white, we created a vibrant ceiling plane that appears to be lit from within.

Sid Mashburn, a men’s clothing designer and retailer, came to Atlanta to open his flagship store offering his own line of custom clothing and other sorted pieces for the modern gentleman. We designed the space along a series of axial progressions with a flexible display system to promote the interaction between customers, staff and goods in a manner that’s simple and comfortable. The store’s distinct interior melds Sid’s sartorial style and inspirations with traditional architectural details to create a unique men’s retail experience.

Our clients wanted to update the interiors of their spacious home as well as add on a new sunroom and deck for frequent entertaining. We began with their dining room: selecting new furniture, artwork and paint, moved on to a total renovation of their master bath, and finished with a sunroom addition. The architectural details of the addition are keeping with the rest of the home, and include a beamed tongue and groove ceiling and modern casual furnishings. This room overlooks the private, wooded backyard and feels like being a grown up tree house.
